Ability to move short distances forward and backwards while maintaining upbody consistentcy.  This is critical to establish the right perspective for the situation.


Lateral movement used to reach across  the crease rapidly


Ability to turn your body to  be square with the puck or to move direction.


Used for slight lateral movements to maintain squareness with the puck
